It’s always a good idea to step back and do a checkup on how we are progressing in completing our goals. Are we still focused on our goals and dreams? If so, that’s great. If not, we should try to figure out why. Maybe what we want has changed and we should establish new goals. Or maybe we just lost sight of where we want to go, what we want to achieve.
We all get distracted and sidetracked with the fast moving pace of life sometimes. So how do we stick to our goals and dreams when life gets so busy?
Your WHY: Remember the reason you established your goal, what it meant to you. Why was it important and how it would improve your life?
Write down your goals: In order to succeed you need to have your goals written in a logical manner. Be sure to include milestones for celebration along the way.
Visualize the end result: Take time each day to visualize what your life will be like once you’ve accomplished your goals. You can create a vision board with pictures that reflect your life once your goals are achieved. Keep your desired accomplishment in plain sight to stay motivated.
Accountability partner: If you feel it will keep you motivated find an accountability partner. Someone you can learn from as well as mentor. A two way street is best.
Jump back on the wagon: We all fall behind on our goals from time to time. Don’t beat yourself up, just jump right back on the wagon and move forward.
We should continually monitor our progress so we catch ourselves quickly if we find ourselves straying from our chosen path, or just getting a bit lazy. With our eye on the ball we will win the game!
