We often see obstacles blocking us from pursuing our dreams, whether they are real or perceived. Determine what is stopping you right now from achieving your goals. Maybe today you can’t afford it, you can’t move to another location, don’t have the experience you believe you need. That’s okay. Now what goals will help you remove or get around those obstacles? Those goals will be part of your plan or perhaps in the beginning, your main plan. What can you do to overcome what is stopping you from moving forward?
In analyzing obstacles, we need to determine whether they are internal or external. Figure out what the biggest issue is that is holding you back, and put your attention to resolving that before working on other smaller issues.
When you look at obstacles and temporary setbacks as challenges, you develop positive aspects of your character, your self-confidence, and your ability to handle future challenges in a successful way.
“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. “
